Light fantastic: loving the Northern Lights

One weekend in May, something amazing happened: the Northern Lights could be seen across the UK.

Usually, the spectacle is a rarity confined to the far north.

But, according to an ITV News article, recent spikes in geomagnetic activity have contributed to an increase in visibility.

Unsurprisingly, everyone got very excited and took to social media to post their photos of the event.
