Wren Sterling has appointed David Kelly as chief financial officer to drive the next phase of its strategic growth.
Kelly is set to take over from Andy Moss who is stepping down after eight years in the role.
Kelly has been managing director of savings and CEO of Barclays Insurance. Prior to that he was the CFO and then interim CEO of Barclaycard UK.
He has also held senior finance roles at the Direct Line Group, 3UK and General Electric.
Kelly’s appointment, which is subject to regulatory approval, is part of a planned succession.
Moss, who has been a key part of the management team, will remain with Wren Sterling for a phased handover period in the coming months.
Wren Sterling Financial Planning Ltd is a national firm of independent financial planners with twelve UK offices and around £7bn in assets under advice.
The firm advises thousands of individuals and businesses across the UK on every aspect of financial planning including pensions, investments, protection, estate planning and employee benefits.
The Wren Sterling Group, which incorporates Magnus, its Discretionary Fund Management business, is backed by Lightyear Capital, a New York-based private equity business that specialises in financial services investments.
